Come build a tiny world where life and decay meet.
In this hands-on terrarium workshop, we’ll explore the forest floor and the beautiful, strange cycle of decomposition while creating our own miniature living landscapes. Choose a bone from our collection to become the centerpiece of your terrarium, then build around it with plants, moss, stone and natural materials.
Along the way, we’ll talk about what’s happening beneath our feet — decomposition, nutrient cycling, fungi, detritivores and the important role that decay plays in keeping an ecosystem alive.
You’ll leave with your own finished spooky terrarium and a little more appreciation for the wonderfully weird side of nature.
Your workshop includes:
- Terrarium vessel
- Plants, moss, substrate and natural materials
- A bone of your choosing
- All tools and supplies
- Guided terrarium instruction
- A finished terrarium to take home
No experience necessary. Just bring your curiosity.
